Day Six: The Power of Self-Observation, Self-Talk, and Saying “No” Without Guilt

Day Six: The Power of Self-Observation, Self-Talk, and Saying “No” Without Guilt

What’s up, wonderful people? It is day six in December, and I’m feeling grateful, excited, and fully present for today. It’s such a beautiful day, and I wanted to bring your attention to something that’s been unfolding in my own life—something subtle, but powerful.

Over the past few days, I’ve noticed a pattern in myself. Whenever someone asks me for something and I don’t have it, I catch myself feeling bad. Not because I didn’t want to help, but because I couldn’t—I simply didn’t have what they needed at that moment. And instead of letting that be okay, I would start beating myself up with thoughts like,

“Why didn’t I have it?”

“I should’ve been prepared.”

“I should’ve had more.”

But here’s the reality: even with a pure heart and the desire to help, sometimes we just don’t have what people are asking for—and that doesn’t make us wrong or irresponsible.

This awareness came from actively practicing something my coach, Arash from Voss Coaching Corps, emphasizes: study yourself. If you want quantum leaps, breakthroughs, and big dreams to come alive, you must pay attention to your inner dialogue and how you treat yourself.

And because of that teaching, I’ve been consciously observing myself. The more I watched, the more I realized how quickly I slipped into guilt over something that wasn’t wrong at all.

So I asked myself a real question:

Why do I let myself feel bad for not having what someone else asked for?

It’s not like I’m hiding anything. I simply didn’t have it.

And even if I did have it and didn’t want to give it, that’s still okay. Another lesson for another day: “No” is a full sentence. You are not obligated to say yes every time someone makes a request. You’re not required to stretch yourself thin to make everyone else comfortable.

Could it be…?

Could it be that one of the reasons our bigger goals haven’t materialized yet is because we’ve subconsciously accepted a harmful belief?

A belief that says:

  • We must always have whatever someone asks for
  • We must always show up, even when it hurts
  • We must always give, even when we’re empty
  • We must always say yes, even when we’re uncomfortable
  • If we can’t give, we must feel guilty, ashamed, or “less than”

Could it be that this pattern—this quiet self-sacrifice—is blocking the very breakthroughs we’re praying for?

Could it be that the reason some people aren’t living their best lives yet is because they carry a belief that says they can’t disappoint others… even if it means disappointing themselves?

Let’s shift that today.

I want to encourage you:

You don’t have to live that way.

You don’t have to feel bad.

You don’t have to say yes every time.

Your no is valid. Your no is enough. Your no is complete.

If someone asks you for something and you don’t have it, it is fully okay to say no without shame, guilt, or explanation.

And whenever that old voice of guilt tries to creep in… talk back to it.

Sometimes I literally tell myself:

“Shut up, Mariam. Be quiet. It’s okay.”

Because it is okay. Truly.

You haven’t always received everything you’ve asked from people. And yet life went on. So why hold yourself to a harsher standard than you hold anyone else?

Where it really comes from

A lot of this “I must always show up” behavior comes from low self-esteem or old childhood wounds—being treated poorly, criticized, or being told we weren’t good enough unless we were useful.

But today I’m reminding you:

You don’t owe anyone everything.

You don’t have to be available for every request.

You don’t have to sacrifice your peace to avoid disappointing others.

You deserve grace.

You deserve compassion.

You deserve space to grow, to rest, to be human.

Final encouragement

Let today be the day you upgrade your self-talk.

Let today be the day you release guilt around saying no.

Let today be the day you show yourself mercy the same way you show it to others.

You are allowed to honor your needs.

You are allowed to protect your energy.

You are allowed to say no without feeling bad.

And you are absolutely allowed to live your life with confidence, clarity, and peace.

Wait and Be Happy While You Do

Day 5 – God Is Faithful, Even in the Waiting

Good morning, my friends. Today is Day 5—December 5th—and as I sit here reflecting, one truth keeps echoing in my spirit: God is faithful. Truly faithful.

There are moments when we look at our lives and think about all the needs, desires, and prayers that should’ve happened by now. We wonder why certain breakthroughs didn’t show up on our timeline. But even in that space of longing, the faithfulness of God remains unchanged.

Take a moment and look around your life. I promise you—there is something you have right now that once felt impossible. Something you prayed for long before you knew it would become part of your everyday life. You may not feel the weight of gratitude for it today because it isn’t threatened or slipping away—but God gave it to you. He knew you needed it before you understood the value of it.

It’s amazing how easily we can feel empty when the one thing we’re chasing doesn’t appear on schedule. The delay becomes so loud that it steals our joy, distracts our minds, and pulls our attention away from everything God has already done. That desire, when left unchecked, begins to overshadow blessings that—if taken away—would leave our lives completely empty.

One thing I’m learning, deeply and personally, is that the best things in life are things money could never buy.

Your family.

Your children.

The air you breathe.

The sky above you.

The peace of stepping outside and letting nature reset your soul.

Nature heals.

And many of us are losing that healing because we’re glued to screens and overwhelmed by social media, comparing, scrolling, striving. Sometimes the joy you think you lost is simply waiting for you outside—in fresh air, sunlight, stillness, and God’s creation.

When we learn to appreciate what we already have, we step into true fulfillment. That’s when we actually start living.

We’re not alive when we’re only chasing.

We’re alive when we’re grateful.

From my own experience, constantly focusing on what God “hasn’t done yet” only created more emptiness in my heart. But when I shifted to thanking Him for what is in my life, and chose to hold joyful expectation for what I’m believing for—something shifted. Blessings flowed more easily. Breakthroughs came faster. Joy returned.

So I ask you today:

Could it be that we sometimes stand in the way of our own blessings?

Could it be that our frustration blocks the very things we’re praying for?

Just think about it.

Today, I am praying for us. In the name of Jesus, may we not allow ambition, desire, or longing to steal the joy of this present moment. I pray that God opens our eyes and hearts to what truly matters. I pray we find gratitude in the blessings that are already here while we joyfully expect the ones that are on the way. And may every desire that aligns with God’s will be fulfilled in His perfect timing—amen.

This is your day.

And today, I’m praying for happy money, blessed money, joyful money, good money to flow into your life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

What if Today is That Day

Hello, My Friends – Welcome to December 4th!

Hello, my friends! Welcome to another amazing day, December 4th, and I’m so grateful to be here to share my thoughts and encouragement with you.

I want to remind you today that anything is possible with God. Even the most outrageous blessings, healing, and provisions—those things that would truly make your life better—are not out of reach. They are not too big for God. He is greater, bigger, and more loving than we can imagine, always willing and ready to turn your life into the masterpiece you were born to live.

Just because it seems like things are taking time doesn’t mean they’ll never happen. Today could be the moment that everything changes for you. Open yourself up to the possibilities. You deserve big things—things that enhance your life mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially.

Be open to the idea of being blessed. Be open to being the one who shifts everything for your kids, your family, and your generation. God has greatness in store for you, and your season of breakthrough is here.

I leave you with this beautiful verse from Isaiah 60:1:

“Arise and shine, my friend, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen over you!”

This is your season. My prayer for you today is that your answers and breakthrough show up in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Welcome to December 3rd — A Beautiful Day of Possibilities

Welcome to December 3rd — A Beautiful Day of Possibilities

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people!

Today is a beautiful day, and I’m so happy to share this message with you.

Welcome to December 3rd, and welcome to a fresh wave of joy, clarity, and divine possibility.

Have you ever paused and asked yourself:

What if the wonderful things you desire are already flowing into your life right now?

What if they’re flowing with ease, grace, and alignment?

What if opportunities you never imagined—opportunities designed specifically for your next level—are already waiting for you?

Sit with that for a moment.

Sometimes we hold on to things that drain us, not because they’re good for us, but because we’re afraid of uncertainty.

We fear that if we let go, that’s all there will ever be… no better, no brighter, no more.

But what if that’s a lie?

What if you’ve simply become used to deprivation, lack, and struggle—not because that’s your destiny, but because that’s the familiar pattern your mind learned to cling to?

What if the opportunities that could multiply your money, elevate your life, shift your environment, and bring supernatural acceleration are already available…

but you’re still holding onto something draining only because it feels “normal”?

What if?

Today, I want to open your eyes.

I want you to breathe deeply and open yourself to what is possible for you right now.

Say this with your heart:

✨ I call in greater opportunities.

✨ I receive grace to recognize them, step into them, and embrace them fully.

And pray this:

✨ I release anything in my life, anything within me, and anything in my consciousness that is blocking me from seeing better opportunities, embracing them, and stepping into the unknown. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Because the unknown is where miracles happen.

The unknown is where God surprises you.

The unknown is where freedom lives.

When you stop worrying, you create space.

When you let go, you create flow.

When you open yourself, good things begin to rush in.

So today, be open to the idea of something big—something amazing—entering your life.

Be open to abundance.

Be open to joy.

Be open to divine alignment.

And remember: Don’t let anyone steal your joy.
