Take That Step and Trust God

🌟 Take That Step and Trust God 🌟

By Maryam | Maryam’s Joyful Life

What’s up wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? 💖

It’s nighttime, but I’ve been wanting to post this blog for the past few days. Life has been busy — but tonight feels like the perfect moment to sit down, connect with you, and share what’s been on my heart. It’s Friday night, and such a beautiful time to talk about something that’s been lighting up my spirit: starting a new venture and trusting God through the process.

Thank you so much for being here and for checking out Maryam’s Joyful Life. I appreciate you more than you know! 🌸

A Day Filled with Purpose

Today was such an amazing day for me. I got to spend quality time with my family, serve my community through my products and services, and just truly enjoy the blessings of the day. There’s something so fulfilling about pouring into others, creating something meaningful, and making an impact — no matter how small it may seem.

But here’s one thing I’ve noticed about life: when things aren’t going the way you want them to, the best thing you can do is keep taking action toward your goals.

Sitting still and waiting for things to change on their own only makes you feel stuck. But when you take action — even a tiny one — your confidence grows, your faith strengthens, and your focus shifts back to what’s possible.

🙏🏽 Pray, Trust, and Move Forward

I can’t stress this enough: pray, pray, pray, pray, pray.

Whenever you feel low or uncertain, prayer is the fastest way to rise back up. I’ve experienced this so many times — when I turn to God, surrender everything to Him, and trust His plan, peace always follows.

Because truthfully, without God’s help and guidance, we can’t do anything. So pray first, and then take action.

If you just sit and expect things to fall into place without moving, you’ll stay stuck. Every time I’ve had an idea or dream, I’ve had to take that first little step — and that’s when things start happening.

So no matter how small the action is, take it!

🌱 Keep Moving, Even When It’s Hard

When you take action, something shifts inside of you. Your confidence returns, your focus moves away from what’s not working, and you start seeing possibilities again.

Even if you don’t have all the resources right now, that’s okay. Use what you’ve got and pray that God provides the rest — because He always does. God never fails.

If you’re in a season where things feel uncertain, where you’re trying to figure it all out and it’s hard, I want you to know this: God can make a way. You’re reading this for a reason — and I truly believe God is about to open a new door for you.

So tonight, let this be your reminder: take that step.

Take action toward your dream.

Keep your faith strong.

Trust God, even when you can’t see how things will work out.

Say it out loud:

“Lord, I trust You. I may not know how You’ll show up, but I know You will.”

And as you keep trusting, watch how your situation begins to change — because it will.

Don’t Let Anybody Steal Your Joy: Our Unexpected Adventure in Atlanta

Yesterday, my sweet man and I took a trip to Atlanta to check out a place downtown. We had planned to visit a company, and though things didn’t quite go the way we expected, the experience ended up teaching me a valuable lesson about perspective and joy.

First, let me warn you—be very careful when parking in downtown Atlanta. We parked in a paid street spot and used an app to pay for parking. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a scam. As soon as we entered our card information, the charge came not from Atlanta but from London! Thankfully, the bank quickly worked things out, but they had to cancel my card. It was stressful in the moment, but I’m so grateful it got resolved.

Then, when we got to the building we were originally looking for, what we needed wasn’t even there. At first, that made me even more frustrated—I was already weighed down with a lot on my mind. But here’s the thing: sometimes, God allows us to end up in places we didn’t plan for a reason.

Because once I stopped focusing on the negatives, I noticed just how beautiful the building and the entire area were.

The building itself had such a fresh, modern vibe. Georgia Tech shares it with other offices, and it felt alive with energy. There was an underground parking garage, and though finding the elevator was a little tricky, once we figured it out, everything flowed smoothly.

Inside, it had a welcoming food court, and downstairs—surprise!—a Costa Coffee shop. I had only ever seen Costa Coffee when we visited London, and it instantly brought back sweet memories. I didn’t even know we had one here in Atlanta! That alone put a smile on my face.

Stepping outside, the place got even better. They had the longest bench I’ve ever seen in my life—easily close to 200 feet long. Right above it, there was a massive screen showing ads, sports, and entertainment. The whole area gave off a cool, European vibe, almost like being back in London.

What struck me most was the atmosphere. Downtown Atlanta can sometimes have that typical city smell, but not here. This spot felt fresh, vibrant, and inviting. People were sitting outside, chatting, enjoying coffee, and just being present in the moment.

That’s when it hit me—my day didn’t have to be defined by a scam, a canceled card, or even a missed appointment. I had the power to choose joy.

And when I shifted my mood, everything changed. I came back home, took a nap, and later one of our friends stopped by. Something I had been wanting for a while ended up coming into my hands that very day. It reminded me that when you let go of frustration and embrace the moment, blessings find their way to you.

So, if you’re reading this and something has already come along to ruin your day, I want to encourage you: don’t let it steal your joy. Shake it off. Look around for the beauty in the moment. Be present. Often, that heaviness you’re carrying will lift, and something good will follow.

We may not have found what we were originally searching for in that building, but the experience itself was a gift. My sweet man and I looked at each other and agreed—we were meant to be there. And I’m glad we were.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I appreciate you. Remember—no matter what happens, don’t let anybody or anything steal your joy.

Home is More Than a Place

Today, I am reminded that home is not simply a beautiful building filled with beautiful things. Yes, it’s wonderful to have a space that looks lovely, smells amazing, and feels like a sanctuary—but true home goes deeper than that.

Home is found in the attitude of the people we live with, in the way we treat those we come in contact with each day. It’s not only about the physical environment we create for others—it’s about the emotional environment we provide.

So I ask you (and I ask myself, too):

  • How are we towards the people around us?
  • How do we treat our family, our kids, our neighbors?
  • Do we make people feel valued, or do we make them feel like they are an inconvenience?
  • Do we offer smiles, kindness, and grace—or do we let stress and frustration take over our interactions?

The truth is, the greatest impact we can make in someone’s life often comes down to one simple thing: our attitude.

Even when life isn’t going the way we want, we can still choose to show kindness. And sometimes, that kindness can literally be the difference between life and death. There are people carrying heavy emotional pain, people who are not strong enough to handle constant disrespect, bickering, and being put down.

That’s why we must be intentional in our words and actions. We never know how deeply someone might need the kindness we show.

Today, I want to encourage all of us (myself included) to remember this truth:

We will not be here on this earth forever. Our time in this physical body is limited. So while we are here, let’s use our lives wisely—by being kind, loving, and life-giving toward others. Let our presence be healing for those around us. Let us allow God to use our energy, our words, and our actions to be the light and the healing someone has been praying for.

✨ Today, let’s go out there and be the healing that changes everything for somebody. ✨

Thank you for reading today—and remember, don’t let anybody steal your joy. 💛
