Trusting God at the Crossroads: Don’t Let Anything Steal Your Joy

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? How are you all doing today? I hope you’re having an absolutely amazing day today. And I hope you never let anything steal your joy.

Welcome to Arms Joyful Life. It’s a beautiful day, and I’m so excited to be here with you again.

Today, let’s talk about something real… something deep—trusting God, especially when life doesn’t go the way you expected.

What Do You Do When You Feel Lost?

What do you do when you reach a crossroads in your life… and you really need God to move, but it feels like your trust is gone?

You did everything right.

You worked hard.

You gave it your all.

You believed it would happen.

But somehow… it didn’t turn out the way you wanted.

Now you feel lost. Empty. Frustrated. Maybe even a little broken.

If that’s you today, pause for a moment and ask yourself:

Did I start relying more on my own strength than on God?

Did I focus so much on effort that I forgot faith?

Am I standing in the way of what God wants to do?

Are You Blocking Your Own Blessing?

Sometimes, without even realizing it, we try to control everything. We hold on so tightly to our plans that we don’t leave room for God to move.

But here’s the truth:

God still performs miracles.

The impossible is still possible.

So the real question is…

Did we stop trusting somewhere along the way?

When did we take our eyes off God and start depending only on ourselves?

The Answer: Surrender

If you’re feeling stuck, the answer isn’t to try harder.

It’s to surrender.

Let go. Release control. Invite God back into every part of your life.

Let’s do that together right now.

A Simple Prayer of Surrender

Lord, I surrender.

I surrender everything—my faith, my hope, my life, my thoughts—everything to You.

Only You can make everything beautiful.

Only You can give true peace.

Only You bring lasting success.

Forgive me, God, for thinking I could do it on my own.

Forgive me for losing faith.

Forgive me for allowing my situation to overwhelm me.

Take over, Lord.

Have Your way in my life.

Move how You want to move.

Show up how You want to show up.

Because You are a good God, and You always come through.

Right now, Lord… have Your way.

Get Ready for Your Breakthrough

As you say this prayer, take a deep breath. Release the weight. Let peace come in.

And get ready…

Because you are about to see God move in your life.

You are about to experience His miracle.

You are about to have a testimony.

And I can’t wait to share mine with you… just like I can’t wait to hear yours.

Final Reminder

No matter what you’re facing today…

Don’t let anybody—and don’t let anything—steal your joy.

The Art of Fulfillment: How to Feel Complete Right Now

It’s a beautiful day, and I’m truly grateful you chose to spend a few moments here with me.

Today I want to talk about something many people are quietly searching for… fulfillment.

We hear about it all the time.

We chase it through goals, achievements, money, recognition, and milestones. Yet so many people still wake up feeling empty, tired, or dissatisfied — even when life looks fine from the outside.

So the real question becomes:

What does it actually mean to be fulfilled? And how do you know if you are?

Fulfillment Is Not a Destination

One of the biggest realizations I’ve been learning is this:

Fulfillment is not a place you arrive at.

It is not:

when you finally reach the big goal

when the business takes off

when the money increases

when life becomes “perfect”

Because if fulfillment depended on perfect conditions, almost no one would ever experience it.

Fulfillment is found in the present moment.

It’s appreciating where you are right now.

It’s gratitude in the middle of your current life — not your future life.

Many times we move through our days rushing, trying to escape our current situation, thinking:

“When this changes, then I’ll feel better.”

But fulfillment begins when you stop escaping your life and start being present in it.

A Way of Living, Not a Reward

Fulfillment is a way of life.

It means:

doing things from purpose, not pressure

slowing down enough to actually experience your day

choosing gratitude even when things don’t go your way

Let’s be honest — when life doesn’t go as planned, it can hurt.

But when one moment ruins your whole day, your peace becomes fragile. You become emotionally controlled by circumstances.

And that’s where joy gets stolen.

Fulfillment is the ability to stay grounded even when life is imperfect.

It is gratitude for what is… while still holding hope that better is coming.

Stop Postponing Your Happiness

Many people accidentally delay their peace.

They tell themselves:

“I’ll be happy when…”

when things improve

when the opportunity comes

when the recognition arrives

when the struggle ends

But waiting for perfect conditions before allowing yourself to feel grateful is one of the fastest ways to feel anxious and exhausted.

You begin to tie your emotions to external events:

good happens → you feel good

bad happens → you feel bad

That emotional rollercoaster creates worry, insecurity, and the belief that life is out of your control.

Here is the truth:

Fulfillment is available to you right now.

The Meaning We Give Things

Sometimes it feels like everything is working against you.

You try.

You invest time.

You give effort.

You care deeply.

And still, the results don’t look the way you hoped.

It can start to feel personal.

But often, the pain is not just the situation — it’s the meaning we attach to it. We interpret delays as failure. We interpret obstacles as rejection. We interpret timing as denial.

Yet many times, things are simply… happening.

How we respond determines our peace.

You are not disqualified.

You are not forgotten.

You are not behind.

Fulfillment Comes From Within

You cannot purchase fulfillment.

You cannot earn it through achievements.

You cannot attach a price tag to peace.

You already come from it.

Joy is not something you eventually obtain — it is part of who you are. What happens is we unknowingly outsource it to outcomes, people, and circumstances.

Then we live like this:

“If this happens, I’ll finally feel okay.”

But your peace was never meant to be controlled by conditions.

Take a moment today.

Place your hand on your chest.

Breathe in slowly… and exhale.

Allow yourself to be present.

Give thanks — for the good, the difficult, and the confusing.

Because your life experiences do not define your worth.

Trusting Through the Process

Life will always change. Situations will rise and fall. But there is something within you that remains steady — the spirit placed inside you, the part of you that continues to hope, to love, to move forward even after disappointment.

You don’t have to escape your life to receive peace.

You receive peace by embracing where you are and trusting that your future is still being arranged in ways you cannot yet see.

Face the challenge in front of you.

Not with fear — but with trust.

You are supported more than you realize.

What Fulfillment Really Means

Fulfillment is simple:

gratitude for what is

presence where you are

hope for what is coming

Do not wait for life to be perfect before allowing yourself to feel peace.

Go inward.

Trust deeply.

Do not hand your joy over to circumstances — or even to your own doubts.

And today, remember this:

No one can steal your joy… not even you.

Helping Without the Burden: Choosing Joy, Generosity, and Peace

It’s a beautiful day, and today I want to talk heart-to-heart about something many of us quietly struggle with — helping people.

Have you ever found yourself stuck in your thoughts like this?

If I help them, will they help me back one day?

What if I say no and later feel guilty?

What if I give and they never appreciate it?

Why should I help if nobody helps me?

Instead of making a simple decision, your mind keeps looping. You don’t help yet you feel bad… and if you do help, you still feel uneasy. So helping stops being joyful and starts feeling heavy.

That’s the real problem — not the helping itself, but the emotional burden attached to it.

The Trap of Overthinking Help

One powerful realization is this:

Helping should come from a decision, not from pressure, fear, or expectation.

If you want to help, help.

If you do not want to help, it is okay to say no.

The suffering actually comes from indecision.

Many people live on what feels like a mental hamster wheel — thinking, analyzing, worrying, predicting reactions, and imagining future disappointments. Meanwhile, peace disappears and joy is stolen.

You are not meant to live emotionally exhausted over every request that comes your way.

Why Helping Sometimes Feels Heavy

Helping becomes stressful when we attach an unspoken contract to it:

“I helped you, so one day you should help me.”

But life rarely works that way.

Often, the very people you once helped are not the ones who show up for you later. And that can hurt — unless you understand a deeper spiritual principle.

Giving is not a transaction.

Giving is a seed.

The Bible reminds us:

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.”

Notice something important — it does not say it will come back through the same person.

And that is where many frustrations begin.

Release the Expectation

A hard truth: many of our disappointments come from trying to decide how God should bless us and who He should use.

We quietly think: “I helped that person… so they should be there for me.”

But your blessing is not assigned to a specific human being.

You may plant seeds in one place and harvest in another.

In life, help often comes from unexpected people, unexpected doors, and unexpected opportunities. When you stop forcing outcomes, peace enters your heart.

Freedom Through Decision

Here is a simple but powerful shift:

Instead of suffering through analysis, make a clear decision.

Ask yourself:

Do I genuinely want to help right now?

Am I able to help without harming my own wellbeing?

If yes — help with joy.

If no — lovingly decline and release the guilt.

The moment you decide, your mind becomes free.

Indecision drains your emotional energy far more than the actual act of giving.

Give As Unto God, Not Unto People

Another spiritual key:

When you help people, you are not serving their approval — you are honoring your values and your faith.

When you give expecting human validation, you will often feel disappointed.

When you give with peace, you feel light.

You are not responsible for how people respond.

You are only responsible for the condition of your heart.

Sometimes you may only be able to give a little. Sometimes you give encouragement instead of money. Sometimes you give a prayer. And sometimes the right answer is no.

All of those are valid.

The Joy of Generosity Without Attachment

Think of generosity as planting seeds in fertile soil.

You plant multiple seeds: kindness

support

time

encouragement

resources

You do not dig up the soil every day asking, “Why hasn’t it grown yet?”

Harvest comes in its season.

And often, the blessing that returns is far greater than the one you imagined.

Peace replaces resentment.

Joy replaces pressure.

Freedom replaces anxiety.

A Prayer for Peace and Clarity

Today, let’s choose emotional freedom.

Instead of worrying about who will show up for you, trust that your help, kindness, and obedience are never wasted.

May you have:

the courage to say yes when your heart agrees,

the wisdom to say no without guilt,

and the faith to release expectations.

Because at the end of the day, your life is not sustained by people — it is sustained by God working through people, places, and opportunities you may never predict.

Make your decision.

Let it go.

And protect your joy.

Are You Really Ready for the Blessing?

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people?

It’s a beautiful day today, and I’m super excited to be back with you for another blog post. I am truly grateful for you. Thank you for following along, for reading, and for being here with me on this journey. Your presence means more than you know.

Today, I want to share something personal—something that has really stood out to me lately. I’ve heard speakers and teachers talk about this before, and I’ve experienced it in my own life, but this time… it hit different. It became impossible to ignore.

So let me ask you a question—one that I had to ask myself honestly:

Are you really ready for the blessing?

Are you ready for the answers to the prayers you’ve been praying?

We say we want freedom—material freedom, financial freedom, emotional freedom. We say we want more. But are we truly ready for it? Or do we say we want these things because it sounds good, because it’s convenient, because we think that’s what we’re supposed to say?

What if the truth is… we want freedom, but we’re deeply committed to struggle?

Recently, something happened that really bothered me—in a revealing way. I had been praying, asking God for something, saying I was open to it. And then the signs started showing up. It looked like the very thing I prayed for was about to happen.

But instead of excitement, I noticed something else.

Uneasiness.

Hesitation.

Fear.

And I had to pause and ask myself—why am I uncomfortable when freedom is knocking on my door?

Could it be that I’ve lived with deprivation, pain, and struggle for so long that it feels familiar? And now that the freedom I prayed for is showing up, something inside of me wants to block it?

Our nervous system can become so used to struggle that struggle starts to feel normal. Pain becomes familiar. Deprivation becomes predictable. And when real change is about to happen—when God is about to answer our prayers—our nervous system resists it.

This is why prayer is so important.

When we start feeling hesitation about moving toward our goals… when we feel resistance as our dreams start unfolding… when the prayers we’ve been crying out suddenly begin to manifest—that’s when we need to be alert. That’s not God holding us back. That’s the enemy trying to keep us in a place God has already provided a way of escape from.

So today, in the name of Jesus, we take authority.

Any spirit—any demonic influence, any force of hell within us—that tries to keep us stuck in perpetual struggle, in complaining, in lack, in “not enough,” we break its hold right now in Jesus’ name.

We put an end to the spirit of struggle.

We put an end to the spirit of pain and deprivation.

We command the light of God’s presence to shine on us and elevate us into the new place of freedom and joy that we have been praying for.

Any familiarity we’ve built with suffering…

Any unconscious contract we’ve made with struggle…

Any identity rooted in pain and lack…

We break it in Jesus’ name.

Freedom is good.

When God is doing something new, it is time to celebrate—not mourn the old. Not feel sorry for ourselves. Not cling to pain just because it’s familiar.

That desire to stay in struggle? That’s not humility. That’s the enemy trying to keep us in a place that no longer serves us.

So today, we choose differently.

Any power of hell that is trying to keep us from walking in what God has already destined for us—we break its hold. We step out of what’s familiar and step fully into freedom. We say yes to answered prayers. We say yes to new opportunities. We say yes to God’s provision.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Don’t be afraid. God is with you. It is God’s plan to bless you.

And I want you to know—I’m taking this step too. I’m right here with you. We are embracing the new. We are embracing the blessing. We are saying yes to what God has already provided.

We walk forward with confidence, knowing our Heavenly Father has our back and is with us every step of the way.

Today, I call us into making freedom and blessings normal in our lives—because that is God’s plan for us.

And one more thing…

Don’t let anybody steal your joy.

Be Strong and Courageous: God Is With You Wherever You Go

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? 🌸 It’s a beautiful day today, and I’m so glad you stopped by Maryam’s Joyful Life. Thank you for checking out today’s post—it’s going to bless you!

Recently, something unusual happened to me, and I just knew I had to share it here. I was reading my Bible app, and I came across a scripture that I had highlighted a long time ago. It felt like God was speaking directly to me, reminding me of something I had forgotten. The verse was from the book of Joshua 1:9 (though at first, I thought it was in Deuteronomy):

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

When I read this verse, it was like a wake-up call. Lately, I had been focusing on the wrong things—feeling discouraged, feeling like God wasn’t moving fast enough, and honestly, like I was standing in the way of my own blessing. But this scripture reminded me that God already commanded me to be strong and courageous. It wasn’t just advice—it was a command filled with love and power.

Why This Scripture Spoke to Me

I realized in that moment that I wasn’t letting God fully step in. I was holding on to discouragement instead of faith. And maybe you’ve been there too. Maybe right now, you’re in a season where things feel slow, heavy, or frustrating. Maybe you’re tempted to give up because it feels like nothing is changing.

But friend, let me remind you of this truth: God is with you wherever you go. Whatever your situation looks like right now, it’s about to turn around. This verse isn’t just for me—it’s for you too.

How to Apply This Word Today

Here’s what I want you to do:

  • Speak this scripture over yourself by name. For example, say: “Maryam, do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
  • Shift your focus from what is going wrong to what God has already promised.
  • Begin to thank Him right now for the breakthrough that’s on the way.

God gave us this word because He’s about to do something extraordinary in our lives—but He also requires our agreement. We give that agreement by trusting Him, holding on to His promises, and being courageous even when it’s hard.

Final Encouragement

As you go through your day, carry this word in your heart: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Thank you so much for stopping by today—I appreciate you more than you know. 💕
