Get Ready: When Your Breakthrough Comes Better Than Expected

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? How are you all doing today? I hope you’re having an amazing day and holding on to your joy, no matter what season you’re in. Welcome to my Unjoyful Life blog. It’s a beautiful day, and I’m truly excited to share this moment with you.

Today, I want to talk about a powerful feeling—the one that comes when something new and exciting suddenly happens in your life.

When Everything Suddenly Changes

Have you ever been in a season where nothing seems to go right?

A season where you feel stuck, overlooked, and left behind?

You’ve been praying.

You’ve been hoping.

You’ve been fasting.

You’ve even cried your heart out.

And still… nothing.

Meanwhile, it feels like everyone else is getting their breakthrough—but you.

And then suddenly… everything changes.

Something shifts.

Something you once prayed for—something you even gave up on—finally shows up.

But not just that…

It comes back bigger. Better. Greater than anything you imagined.

Imagine This Moment

Pause for a second and really think about it:

How would you feel if your prayers were answered today?

What if the thing you thought would never happen… happened?

What if it didn’t just come—but came back greater than you ever dreamed?

Would you feel joy?

Overwhelming gratitude?

Excitement that you can’t even put into words?

That moment is real. And it’s possible for you.

Prepare Your Heart for More

Today, I’m asking you these questions for a reason:

Get your mind ready. Get your heart ready.

Because it can happen. And it will happen.

The Bible reminds us:

“Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7

Sometimes, we don’t receive because we stop asking.

But today, I encourage you: Keep asking. Keep believing. Keep going.

Even when it feels like nothing is happening.

Don’t Quit Before the Breakthrough

You may feel like it’s not working.

You may feel like giving up.

But don’t.

Because what’s on the other side of your faith could be greater than anything you’ve ever imagined.

Open your heart again.

Believe again.

God has something extraordinary waiting for you.

Faith Changes Everything

The Word says:

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Even when you don’t see it—trust it’s already working.

Even when you don’t feel it—believe it’s already happening.

Because all things are working together for your good.

Every delay.

Every closed door.

Every tear.

It’s all aligning for something greater.

Expect More Than You Asked For

So today, I want you to shift your mindset:

Expect the breakthrough

Expect the miracle

Expect the opportunity

Expect your prayers to be answered

And not just answered…

But answered better than you ever imagined.

A Prayer for You

I’m praying for you today:

Blessings upon blessings.

Favor upon favor.

Miracles upon miracles.

Celebration after celebration.

In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Stop Expecting Yourself From Others: Protect Your Peace and Joy

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people?

How are you all doing today? I hope you’re having an amazing day and not letting anything steal your joy. Welcome back to I’m Joyful Life—it’s a beautiful day, and I’m so grateful to be here with you.

Today, I want to talk about something that quietly steals our peace more than we realize… expectations.

The Trap of Expecting Yourself From Others

One of the fastest ways to become discouraged, frustrated, and emotionally drained is expecting people to be exactly like you—to think like you, respond like you, and handle things the way you would.

The truth is… they won’t.

And when they don’t, frustration creeps in.

I’ve experienced this personally. Even with something as simple as asking my kids to wash dishes or clean the table a certain way. No matter how clearly I show them, they still do it their way. And yes—it can be frustrating.

But then I have to pause and remind myself:

I’m the one stealing my own joy—not them.

They’re learning. They’re growing. And they are not me.

Grace Changes Everything

This is where grace comes in.

When we try to mold people into our exact image, we set ourselves up for constant disappointment. But when we allow people to be themselves—to grow in their own way—we create space for peace.

Give people:

Room to learn

Room to grow

Room to be different

Because the same way it took you time to become who you are, it will take them time too.

When People Don’t Show Up for You

Now let’s be real—sometimes it goes deeper than small frustrations.

Sometimes you’ve been there for people. You’ve supported them. You’ve carried their burdens.

But when it’s your turn… they don’t show up.

And that hurts.

It’s disappointing. It’s heartbreaking. And it’s okay to feel that.

But here’s the truth that will protect your peace:

Just because you show up for others doesn’t mean they will show up for you.

Shift Your Expectation

Instead of expecting people to repay you, shift your expectation.

Give from your heart—but don’t depend on people for your reward.

Trust that God sees you. Trust that God will provide. Trust that the right people will show up at the right time.

Because they will.

Not always the same people you helped—but the right people.

Choose Joy Over Control

Trying to control how people act, think, or respond will only drain you.

So today, release that pressure.

Tell yourself:

I don’t need everyone to be like me

I don’t need everyone to understand me

I don’t need everyone to show up the way I expect

I choose peace. I choose joy.

Let people be who they are. Let yourself breathe. Let grace lead.

Final Encouragement

We’re all human. We all fall short sometimes.

So instead of holding people to impossible standards, give grace—just like you would want grace in return.

Today:

Show yourself grace

Show others grace

Let go of unrealistic expectations

And protect your joy at all costs.

The Power of Sacrifice: How God Rewards Every Seed You Sow

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? It’s a beautiful day today, and I’m so grateful you’re here. I hope you’re protecting your joy and walking in peace. Today, I want to talk to you about something powerful… sacrifice.

Sacrifice isn’t always easy. Sometimes it looks like giving your last dollar when you had plans for it. Sometimes it’s choosing to show up for someone when you’re tired. Sometimes it’s offering your time, your gifts, your energy—freely—when you could have been compensated for it.

But here’s the truth: every sacrifice matters.

When you give out of love, when you show up for others, when you pour into people, causes, or communities—even when it costs you something—God sees it all. Nothing you’ve done has gone unnoticed. Not one tear. Not one act of kindness. Not one moment of faith.

There is power in sacrifice.

Just like Jesus sacrificed everything for us, taking on pain, rejection, and suffering so we could live in freedom, healing, and peace—our sacrifices carry spiritual weight too. When you believe in that sacrifice and walk in faith, you begin to experience the overflow of what was already done for you.

That means:

Every lie spoken against you loses its power.

Every plan meant to harm you is canceled.

Every burden you’ve been carrying is lifted.

You are not empty—you are covered, protected, and positioned for breakthrough.

I want to encourage you today: nothing you’ve done was in vain.

Every sacrifice you’ve made is producing something beautiful behind the scenes. Even if you don’t see it yet, God is working. Blessings are being prepared for you. Opportunities are aligning in your favor. The right people are being divinely positioned into your life—people you couldn’t have orchestrated on your own.

Things are shifting.

Peace is entering your life in a new way.

Abundance is finding you like never before.

Clarity, order, and direction are being restored.

Your mind is being renewed.

Your body is being strengthened.

And where you once sacrificed for others, God is now raising people to show up for you.

I’m praying over you right now:

That every burden is lifted.

That every yoke is broken.

That heaven is responding on your behalf.

That divine help locates you.

That your needs are not only met—but exceeded.

This is your season of restoration, favor, and breakthrough.

It’s not over. God is with you. Everything is working out in your favor—even now.

So today, choose joy. Be at peace. Trust the process. And know deep in your heart: your sacrifices are paying off.

Thank you so much for taking the time to be here today. I truly appreciate you. You are blessed, you are loved, and your life is filled with purpose. Don’t let anyone or anything steal your joy.

If this blog has been a blessing to you and you’d like to support the journey, we’re currently stepping into a new chapter—homeownership. Your support toward our down payment would mean so much. The link is available for you to give, and we deeply appreciate every contribution. http://gofund.me/e2e6ff48c

Have an amazing day. Keep shining, keep believing, and keep walking in joy.

🌿 The Power of Presence: Where Your Miracle Begins

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people?

It’s such a beautiful day, and I’m truly grateful you’re here with me. Thank you for taking a moment out of your day to check in. I appreciate you more than you know—and I hope with everything in me that you’re not letting anybody or anything steal your joy.

Today, I want to talk about something simple, yet life-changing: the present moment.

✨ Are You Missing the Moment You’re In?

How often do we allow our ambition—our dreams, goals, and desires—to pull us out of the very moment we’re living in?

It happens more than we realize.

Sometimes, we get so focused on what we’re hoping and praying for that we unintentionally let it rob us of the joy that’s available to us right now. We tell ourselves:

“I’ll be happy when this happens.”

“I’ll feel grateful when I get there.”

But the truth is—everything we will ever experience, we experience in the present moment.

Not in the future. Not “one day.”

Only now.

🌸 Bringing Gratitude Into the Now

What if we stopped postponing our happiness?

What if we made the decision to feel grateful now—before anything changes?

Can we bridge that gap and say: “I’m not waiting anymore. I choose joy today. I choose gratitude in this moment.”

Because something powerful happens when we do that.

🌿 Finding Beauty in the Everyday

I’ve been practicing this in my own life—just slowing down and becoming present.

Looking at the trees… the flowers…

Pausing to truly see the smiles on my children’s faces.

Being fully there when I look at my partner, appreciating him for who he is in that moment.

Not distracted. Not rushing. Not lost in thought.

Just present.

And what I’ve realized is this:

When you’re present, life feels fuller. Richer. More meaningful.

🙏 Gratitude Unlocks Peace (and More)

When we choose to give thanks—right here, right now—something shifts.

Peace comes in.

And beyond that… things begin to move in ways we couldn’t have planned.

God starts working behind the scenes:

Sending the right people

Opening unexpected doors

Creating opportunities we didn’t even know existed

There are moments when things come together so perfectly, you realize it could only be God.

Because His power goes beyond what our minds can even understand.

🌬️ A Simple Reminder: Just Breathe

Think about this…

You don’t hold your breath waiting for tomorrow before you exhale.

You breathe… now.

And life works the same way.

We are meant to live, feel, and experience life in the present moment.

So when you feel overwhelmed, distracted, or anxious—come back to your breath.

Come back to now.

💛 Don’t Miss What Matters Most

Let’s not get so caught up in the struggle or the journey that we miss what truly matters.

Even in chaos… even in uncertainty…

God is still guiding you.

He’s still making a way.

He’s still working things out for your good.

So instead of waiting for everything to be perfect…

Give thanks now.

Praise now.

Show gratitude as if your breakthrough has already happened.

Because often, that’s exactly when it shows up.

🌟 Today Is the Perfect Time

You don’t have to wait.

Today is the perfect time.

Right now is the perfect moment.

Be present.

Be grounded.

Be grateful.

And protect your joy at all costs.

🌿 A Call to Peace: Let Go, Trust, and Surrender

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people?

How are you all doing today? I truly hope your day is filled with joy, light, and beautiful moments. Welcome to Amster Life—I’m so happy you’re here. It’s a beautiful day, and I’m grateful we get to share this moment together.

Today, I want to gently call our hearts toward one powerful thing… peace.

✨ What Is Peace, Really?

Peace isn’t something far away or impossible to reach.

Peace is the absence of chaos and confusion in our minds. It’s the release of fear, anxiety, and worry.

Peace is deeper than circumstances.

It’s the connection to the very essence of who we are—the spirit within us that remains steady, no matter what is happening around us. Even in the middle of chaos, the peace of God is already within your heart right now.

So the question becomes…

💭 Why Do We Block Our Own Peace?

Sometimes, we feel like we should suffer when things don’t go our way.

We think:

“I should worry.”

“I should be upset.”

“I should feel stressed.”

And yes, worry can be part of the human experience—but it becomes a problem when we allow it to take control.

When fear, anxiety, and stress begin to lead our lives, they pull us away from the peace that already belongs to us.

🌱 The Shift: Let Go and Trust

So how do we shift out of that cycle?

One truth stands out:

Learn to let go… and trust.

This is where faith comes in.

When we trust God, we trust Him with everything:

our setbacks

our failures

our pain

our mistakes

the unknown

We come as we are and say:

“God, I couldn’t do it on my own. If I knew better, I would’ve done better. I need your help.”

There is something powerful about being honest, about surrendering fully and saying:

“I’m stressed. I’m overwhelmed. I’m tired. But I need you.”

💫 What Happens When You Surrender?

When you truly open up and release it all to God, something begins to shift.

It may not happen instantly, but gradually:

your heart feels lighter

your thoughts become calmer

your spirit feels more grounded

And before you even realize it, you’re no longer overwhelmed the way you were before.

That’s the peace of God taking over.

You’ll find yourself calm in situations that once stressed you. And in time, you’ll begin to see things turn around—sometimes even better than you imagined.

🙏 Your Invitation Today

So today, I invite you to ask yourself:

What am I holding onto that I need to surrender?

What would it look like to release the chaos and trust the One who can carry you through it?

Let today be the day you choose peace.

Let today be the day you let go.

Stop Worrying Too Much: Slow Down, Let Go, and Let God

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? How are you all doing today? I hope you’re having an amazing day today.

Today’s message is simple, but it’s powerful—and it’s something we all need to hear from time to time.

Stop Worrying So Much About It

Worrying too much about things can drain your energy, steal your peace, and keep you stuck in a place that God never intended for you to stay in.

Sometimes we hold on too tight. We overthink. We stress. We try to control every little detail.

But the truth is—you don’t have to carry it all.

Slow Down and Breathe

Just take a moment right now and breathe.

Seriously… breathe.

Inhale deeply… and exhale slowly.

Sometimes we move so fast and worry so much that we forget to pause and reset. But peace begins when you slow down and give yourself space to just be.

Let Go and Let God

This is your reminder today:

Let go and let God.

You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. You don’t have to stress over every outcome.

God is in control.

When you release that worry and surrender it, you allow God to step in and handle what you can’t.

Trust the Process

Even when things don’t look the way you expected… trust that everything is working out for your good.

God sees what you don’t see.

He knows what’s ahead.

So instead of worrying, choose to trust.

I need your support for my first time home buying journey. Please consider donating today: http://gofund.me/e2e6ff48c

You Got This

I want you to remember this:

You got this.

Whatever you’re facing right now, whatever disappointment you’ve experienced—it’s not the end of your story.

Keep going. Keep believing. Keep trusting God.

Final Thoughts

That’s all I have for you today.

Just make sure you breathe. Remember to breathe, and let God take control.

Thank you so much for watching and for being here. I appreciate every single one of you.

Trusting God at the Crossroads: Don’t Let Anything Steal Your Joy

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? How are you all doing today? I hope you’re having an absolutely amazing day today. And I hope you never let anything steal your joy.

Welcome to Arms Joyful Life. It’s a beautiful day, and I’m so excited to be here with you again.

Today, let’s talk about something real… something deep—trusting God, especially when life doesn’t go the way you expected.

What Do You Do When You Feel Lost?

What do you do when you reach a crossroads in your life… and you really need God to move, but it feels like your trust is gone?

You did everything right.

You worked hard.

You gave it your all.

You believed it would happen.

But somehow… it didn’t turn out the way you wanted.

Now you feel lost. Empty. Frustrated. Maybe even a little broken.

If that’s you today, pause for a moment and ask yourself:

Did I start relying more on my own strength than on God?

Did I focus so much on effort that I forgot faith?

Am I standing in the way of what God wants to do?

Are You Blocking Your Own Blessing?

Sometimes, without even realizing it, we try to control everything. We hold on so tightly to our plans that we don’t leave room for God to move.

But here’s the truth:

God still performs miracles.

The impossible is still possible.

So the real question is…

Did we stop trusting somewhere along the way?

When did we take our eyes off God and start depending only on ourselves?

The Answer: Surrender

If you’re feeling stuck, the answer isn’t to try harder.

It’s to surrender.

Let go. Release control. Invite God back into every part of your life.

Let’s do that together right now.

A Simple Prayer of Surrender

Lord, I surrender.

I surrender everything—my faith, my hope, my life, my thoughts—everything to You.

Only You can make everything beautiful.

Only You can give true peace.

Only You bring lasting success.

Forgive me, God, for thinking I could do it on my own.

Forgive me for losing faith.

Forgive me for allowing my situation to overwhelm me.

Take over, Lord.

Have Your way in my life.

Move how You want to move.

Show up how You want to show up.

Because You are a good God, and You always come through.

Right now, Lord… have Your way.

Get Ready for Your Breakthrough

As you say this prayer, take a deep breath. Release the weight. Let peace come in.

And get ready…

Because you are about to see God move in your life.

You are about to experience His miracle.

You are about to have a testimony.

And I can’t wait to share mine with you… just like I can’t wait to hear yours.

Final Reminder

No matter what you’re facing today…

Don’t let anybody—and don’t let anything—steal your joy.

Receiving Help: The Strength in Saying Yes

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people! 😊

How are you all doing today? I hope you are having an amazing day and allowing life to refill your joy. Welcome to MaryamsjoyfulLife. Today is a beautiful day, and I’m so excited that you stopped by to spend a few moments here on the blog.

Today I want to talk about something many of us struggle with: receiving help.

What Does It Mean to Receive Help?

When someone offers to help you, what is your response?

Do you hesitate and say, “No, I’ve got it” even when you know you could use the support? Or do you gladly accept the help because you understand that you don’t have to carry everything alone?

Sometimes pride gets in the way. Sometimes we feel like accepting help means we’re not strong enough, capable enough, or deserving enough. But let’s pause and really think about that.

We were never created to live life completely on our own.

Life Is Built on Cooperation

Take a moment and look at the everyday things around you.

The home you live in depends on people who maintain electricity and power. The water you use flows because people work daily to ensure the systems operate properly. The groceries you buy are produced, transported, stocked, and sold by many individuals working together.

Even if someone grows their own food on a farm, they still depend on others in some way—whether it’s the place they buy seeds, the tools they use, or the systems that provide water.

Every part of our lives includes the involvement of others helping things move smoothly.

So why is it surprising when we need help too?

Let the Right People Help You

Being open to help does not make you weak. It does not mean you are less than anyone else. In fact, when we allow the right people in our lives to support us, something powerful happens.

We grow.

Things begin to move more smoothly. We receive better opportunities. We perform better. Life flows more naturally.

When we try to do everything ourselves, we slowly drain our energy. That pressure eventually turns into exhaustion, resentment, heaviness, and discouragement.

And none of us want to live in that space.

Even Superwomen Need Support

Many people feel like they have to be the strong one all the time. They carry responsibilities, take care of others, and keep pushing forward without asking for help.

But here’s the truth: even superwomen need help.

If you’ve spent years rejecting help because you felt you had to do everything yourself, give yourself permission to change that starting today.

Be open. Be willing. Say yes.

Giving and Receiving Are Both Necessary

Interestingly, the people who struggle most with receiving help are often the ones who give the most.

They give their time. They give their energy. They give their resources. They show up for everyone.

But when someone offers something in return, they resist it.

If that sounds familiar, it’s time to shift that mindset.

Life is a two-way street.

You give, and you receive.

You receive, and you give.

Accepting help doesn’t make you small. It doesn’t make you greedy. It simply means you’re living in balance.

And that balance is where joy and happiness thrive.

Trust the Help Sent Your Way

Sometimes the support that comes into our lives is exactly what we’ve been praying for. When we trust God and remain open, the right people appear at the right time.

So when help shows up, don’t push it away.

Receive it with gratitude.

Allow it to lighten your load and move you forward.

Sometimes Your Best Will Not Be Good Enough And That's Ok Too

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? Thank you for stopping by the Maryam’s Joyful Life Blog today. I truly appreciate you being here. It’s a beautiful day, and I’m grateful we get to share this moment together.

Have you ever tried your absolute best in a situation and it still didn’t work out?

Have you ever given something your all—your time, your energy, your guidance—and truly hoped that your effort would make the difference, only to realize that it didn’t?

If you’ve experienced that before, you know it can be a difficult feeling.

Recently, I found myself in a situation where I was helping someone. I walked them through the steps they needed to take and did everything I could to guide them. Some of the steps were familiar to them, but others were more challenging. As they tried to figure things out, frustration began to grow. They felt like the process was taking too much time, and I could sense their disappointment.

I genuinely wanted to help them succeed.

I gave my best. I offered guidance, patience, and support. But in the end, my best didn’t change the outcome, and they were still upset.

That moment led me to ask myself an important question:

What do you do when your best doesn’t seem good enough for someone else?

Do you carry their frustration and anger as if it’s your responsibility?

Do you start doubting yourself and wondering if you should have done more?

Or do you pause, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that you gave everything you had to give?

As I reflected on the situation, a powerful realization came to me:

Sometimes the best thing we can do is let go and let God.

Your best may not always produce the result you hoped for. But that does not mean your best wasn’t truly your best.

There are moments in life when we do everything we possibly can, yet the situation still doesn’t change. That reality can be hard to accept, but it’s part of the human experience. You cannot punish yourself for outcomes that were never fully in your control.

Beating yourself up won’t fix the situation.

Blaming yourself won’t change the past.

What matters is that you showed up with sincerity, effort, and a genuine heart to help.

And that is something to be proud of.

Learning to release situations that didn’t work out is a powerful form of emotional freedom. When you hold onto guilt or disappointment over things you cannot change, you only weigh yourself down. Letting go doesn’t mean you didn’t care. It means you understand that you did what you could, and now it’s time to move forward.

Some questions in life may never have answers.

Some situations will never fully make sense.

And that’s okay.

Work with me one-on-one consultations

Growth often comes from accepting what we cannot control and choosing peace instead of self-judgment.

So today, I want to encourage you with a simple but powerful reminder:

Let it go. Let go and let God.

If you gave your best, that is enough. Be proud of yourself for showing up and giving your effort. Allow yourself the grace to move forward without carrying unnecessary weight.

And most importantly, remember this:

Don’t let anyone steal your joy.

Your peace, your happiness, and your sense of purpose are far too valuable to give away.

Work With Me

Today, I want to talk about what it truly means to be there for others.

Recently, I found myself in a situation filled with many opinions. I listened — and the more I listened, the clearer it became that not all opinions deserve weight. That experience sparked a deeper question in me:

What does it actually mean to show up for someone?

When do you show up?

And who should you show up for?

For me, the answer became very clear.

When someone has been there for you — whether in big ways or small ways — and their presence has genuinely impacted your life, that matters. I’m talking about the people who help take care of your kids, support you when you need it, watch your children so you can make it to an appointment, help clean your home, or simply make your life a little easier.

Sometimes it’s the little things:

Someone making you a sandwich with love.

Someone washing your bathroom.

A daycare provider, a housekeeper, a janitor, a helper — anyone whose consistency brings peace and convenience into your life.

Those “little” things are not little at all. They reduce stress. They create space. They allow you to focus on the things that matter most to you.

And when someone has shown up for you like that — consistently, faithfully, without hesitation — I believe you are obligated to show up for them when they need you. Not out of pressure, but out of gratitude and integrity.

It doesn’t have to be extravagant. Showing up doesn’t always mean money. It can mean consistency, presence, prayer, encouragement, guidance, or connecting them to resources you know about. Even if you don’t have financial means, you still have something — human connections, information, wisdom, compassion.

If someone has always been there when you needed them, and you’re in a position to help when they need you, then you do everything you can. You don’t overthink it. You don’t second-guess yourself. You don’t consult everyone else to decide if they’re “worthy” of your help.

Ask yourself the real questions:

Have they shown up for you?

Have they been reliable?

Have they helped without hesitation?

Have they made your life easier in any way?

If the answer is yes, then it is a good thing to show up for them too.

Showing up means checking on them. Asking about their projects. Taking genuine interest in their life. Letting them know you care — and doing it with joy. When someone has shown loyalty to you, they deserve love, appreciation, and support in return.

This is not the time to hesitate. This is not the time to overanalyze. This is the time to be grateful that you get the opportunity to show up.

I truly believe that God blesses those who extend a helping hand. When you show up for others, God shows up for you. When you give from your heart — even from what feels like a small resource — God multiplies it in ways you could never imagine. Help will locate you from known and unknown places. Doors will open, and you’ll look back and say, “Wow… how did this even happen?”

That’s God.

So today, I want to remind you:

When someone has been kind to you, loyal to you, supportive of you — whether in big ways or small ways — and they come to you in need, do everything you can. Give from what God has blessed you with. Share information. Offer guidance. Pray. Connect. Support.

In all things, give thanks to the Lord and seek His guidance. In His presence is joy, provision, and peace. God can take what seems small in your hands and turn it into something miraculous — far beyond what your natural mind could ever calculate.

You are loved.

Don’t let anyone steal your joy.

Be there for those who have been there for you.

It is a good thing to help those who have shown you care and loyalty.

Thank you for checking this out today.

Bye 💛

Allowing Help: How Letting Your Kids Grow Brings You Peace, Joy, and Prosperity

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? 🌸

It’s a beautiful day today, and I’m super excited to share this post with you.

Today, I’m feeling especially grateful. My sweet baby girl—my seven-year-old going on eight—has been showing signs of maturity, and it has truly touched my heart.

A Mom Who Does It All… and the Cost of That

I’m the kind of mom who does everything.

I cook. I pack lunch bags. I make sure clothes are laid out and mornings flow smoothly. If I can make life easier for my kids, I will.

And while that kind of love is fulfilling, let’s be honest—it can also be exhausting.

When you’re constantly pouring into everyone else, sometimes your own needs end up last. You rush through self-care. You skip rest. You feel drained, tired, and stretched thin—even though you love your role as a mom.

If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone.

Watching My Daughter Step Up

Lately, something beautiful has been happening.

My daughter has started preparing lunchboxes for herself and her brother. She organizes everything, packs the bags, and proudly tells me, “I’ve done everything else—just make the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”

And wow… it’s amazing to see.

At first, I noticed that little voice inside me—the one that wants to double-check, correct, or control. The voice that wonders, “Is she doing it right?”

But I caught myself.

Instead of stepping in, I chose gratitude over control.

I stepped aside and allowed her to help. Allowed her to grow. Allowed her to learn.

Why Letting Go Is an Act of Love

This is part of growing up. Part of learning. And she’s excited to help.

I realized something important:

I don’t want to be the kind of mom who stands in the way of her children’s growth.

The best way to learn isn’t just by watching—it’s by doing. Repetition builds confidence. Action builds capability.

By allowing my kids to help:

I’m freeing up time to take care of myself

I’m teaching responsibility and independence

I’m showing them that their contributions matter

And most importantly, I’m teaching by example.

Moms: It’s Okay to Receive, Not Just Give

This post is especially for the moms who feel:

Stressed

Overwhelmed

Angry

Over-controlling

Drained

You don’t have to do everything all the time.

When you refuse help, you block rest.

When you block rest, you block joy.

When you block joy, you block good things from flowing into your life.

Being joyful and available sometimes means doing less, not more.

Allowing Help Is Allowing Blessings

When you allow others—especially your children—to help, you’re not losing control. You’re gaining peace.

You’re allowing:

Growth

Learning

Prosperity

Support

Balance

Don’t hide behind busyness.

Don’t block blessings because you’re afraid to let go.

Whether help comes from your children, family, or even strangers—receive it with gratitude.

Final Encouragement for Every Mom Reading This

Let your kids fix their lunchboxes.

Let yourself only make the peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Let go of criticism.

Release control.

Rest when you can.

You’ve been giving and giving—now be ready to receive.

Be joyful.

Be grateful.

Don’t let anyone steal your joy—including yourself.

With love and encouragement,

Maryam 💛
