Recently, something unusual happened to me, and I just knew I had to share it here. I was reading my Bible app, and I came across a scripture that I had highlighted a long time ago. It felt like God was speaking directly to me, reminding me of something I had forgotten. The verse was from the book of Joshua 1:9 (though at first, I thought it was in Deuteronomy):

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

When I read this verse, it was like a wake-up call. Lately, I had been focusing on the wrong things—feeling discouraged, feeling like God wasn’t moving fast enough, and honestly, like I was standing in the way of my own blessing. But this scripture reminded me that God already commanded me to be strong and courageous. It wasn’t just advice—it was a command filled with love and power.

Why This Scripture Spoke to Me

I realized in that moment that I wasn’t letting God fully step in. I was holding on to discouragement instead of faith. And maybe you’ve been there too. Maybe right now, you’re in a season where things feel slow, heavy, or frustrating. Maybe you’re tempted to give up because it feels like nothing is changing.

But friend, let me remind you of this truth: God is with you wherever you go. Whatever your situation looks like right now, it’s about to turn around. This verse isn’t just for me—it’s for you too.

How to Apply This Word Today

Here’s what I want you to do:

• Speak this scripture over yourself by name. For example, say: “Maryam, do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
• Shift your focus from what is going wrong to what God has already promised.
• Begin to thank Him right now for the breakthrough that’s on the way.

God gave us this word because He’s about to do something extraordinary in our lives—but He also requires our agreement. We give that agreement by trusting Him, holding on to His promises, and being courageous even when it’s hard.

Celebrating Faith, Joy, and Miracles: A 7-Month Milestone

Today, my baby turned 7 months old—actually the 7th month because she was born on February 7th. I just came around to posting about it, but as I reflected, it reminded me of the faithfulness of God. Truly, God is good, and He is faithful.

When we put our trust in Him, even when we stumble, His mercies are far greater than our mistakes. As I celebrate my little one, I want to take a moment to encourage you, dear reader.

If you have things in your life that you are praying for a miracle, if you’re asking God for a breakthrough, I want you to know: I am praying for you too. I am praying that God not only shows up but blows your mind with supernatural intervention.

On this solemn anniversary, we honor the lives lost during the attacks and the countless families who were forever impacted by that tragic day. We lift them up in prayer, asking God to comfort their hearts, strengthen their spirits, and bring peace to all who are still grieving.

As the Bible reminds us in Psalm 91:11-12, “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.” We trust in God’s guidance, healing, and protection over our families, communities, and nation.

As a nation, we stand strong as one people, united in faith, hope, and love. We call upon God to keep America safe for all, to rid our streets of evil, and to guide every heart toward compassion, justice, and peace. May His protection surround our families, our communities, and our leaders, and may His light shine in every corner of our country.

Sending Love and Prayers for the Kirk Family

Recently, the Kirk family suffered a heartbreaking loss when Charlie Kirk was killed during a political rally. After seeing the social media posts and hearing the sorrow surrounding this event, I want to take a moment here on this platform to send love, peace, and light to the Kirk family. May God bring them comfort, strength, and joy even in the face of unimaginable grief.

We are lifting them up in prayer today, asking that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will surround their hearts and minds. May His love wrap around them like a warm embrace, and may His presence remind them that they are not alone in this season.

As the Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” May the Kirk family feel God’s presence near them, bringing comfort and hope during this difficult time.

At the same time, I want to pray for our nation, America. We are experiencing too much violence, too much pain, and too much division. Gun violence and evil in the atmosphere have stolen far too many lives, and my prayer is that God would put a stop to it. I pray for transformation in the hearts of every person—that we would choose to see our similarities instead of our differences, that we would love instead of hate, and that we would build one another up instead of tearing each other down.

May the Lord be glorified even in this, and may change come swiftly. May love triumph over hatred, and may peace reign over fear and violence.

To the Kirk family, we love you, we are praying for you, and we stand with you in this time of grief.

The Dave’s Hot Chicken Reaper Challenge – The Hottest Bite of My Life! 🌶🔥

 

What’s up, wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people? It’s a beautiful day, and I’m so glad you’re here on Maryam’s Joyful Life! Today, I’m sharing an experience that was equal parts wild, painful, and unforgettable – trying the Dave’s Hot Chicken Reaper sandwich.

Before I dive in, let me say this clearly: I do not recommend that anyone should attempt the Reaper challenge. The Reaper pepper is one of the hottest peppers in the world, and it is no joke. I only did it because my curiosity got the best of me.

How It All Started

My Sweetman and I had been scrolling on TikTok when we came across videos of people attempting the Dave’s Hot Chicken Reaper Challenge. Creators were sweating, crying, and gasping for air while eating this fiery chicken sandwich. Something about it made us both curious, and since I usually enjoy spicy food, I thought, “Why not give it a try?”

Well… let me just say this: the Reaper laughed at me that day.

The Spiciest Food I’ve Ever Tried

I love spicy food – from hot wings to jalapeños on my tacos – but the Carolina Reaper in Dave’s Hot Chicken Reaper sandwich took things to a completely different level. From the very first bite, my mouth felt like it was on fire. My lips burned, my tongue went numb, and my eyes instantly watered.

It wasn’t just hot – it was the kind of heat that makes you question your life choices. My Sweetman and I couldn’t stop laughing (and crying) as we powered through bites. It was the hottest, spiciest food I’ve ever tasted, hands down.

Final Thoughts – Would I Do It Again?

The answer is a big NO! 😂 Once was more than enough. I’m glad I tried it for the experience, but the Dave’s Hot Chicken Reaper challenge is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not used to extreme spice, this could actually be dangerous.

That being said, if you’re someone who loves challenges, enjoys testing your spice limits, or just wants a crazy food adventure, then you’ll probably get a kick out of it. Just make sure you have lots of water, milk, or ice cream nearby.

The Honey Experiment That Reminds Us of Our True Identity

So today, I want to share something really fascinating that my sweet man showed me—it’s a honey experiment. He started off by saying, “Honey remembers where it came from, because honey comes from honeycomb.” That caught my attention right away.

Here’s how the experiment goes:

• Take a spoonful of honey—it could be a drop or a full tablespoon.
• Place it on a flat plate.
• Pour a little bit of water onto the plate, just enough to go around the honey.
• Hold the plate with both hands and gently shake it.

If it’s real honey, something amazing happens—it spreads out and forms the shape of a honeycomb. Why? Because honey remembers where it came from. But if it’s fake or synthetic honey, it won’t form that honeycomb pattern.

When we did the experiment at home, we found out that our honey was real. And let me tell you—I was so fascinated, not just because of the science of it, but because of the lesson it carries for us as people.

See, sometimes in life we forget who we are. We might feel like nobodies, like we don’t belong, or like we’re wandering without a true home. But the truth is—we all came from God. And just like honey remembers the honeycomb, the nature of God within us never forgets where we came from.

No matter what you’ve been through, no matter how life has shaken you, the blueprint of the Most High God is still in you. Something great and extraordinary can and will come out of your situation.

So today, if you’re questioning your authenticity or doubting your worth, let me remind you: you carry the imprint of God inside you. Something good is about to come out of you—today, starting right now. I’m speaking it over you. I’m praying it over you.
