Home is More Than a Place

Today, I am reminded that home is not simply a beautiful building filled with beautiful things. Yes, it’s wonderful to have a space that looks lovely, smells amazing, and feels like a sanctuary—but true home goes deeper than that.

Home is found in the attitude of the people we live with, in the way we treat those we come in contact with each day. It’s not only about the physical environment we create for others—it’s about the emotional environment we provide.

So I ask you (and I ask myself, too):

  • How are we towards the people around us?
  • How do we treat our family, our kids, our neighbors?
  • Do we make people feel valued, or do we make them feel like they are an inconvenience?
  • Do we offer smiles, kindness, and grace—or do we let stress and frustration take over our interactions?

The truth is, the greatest impact we can make in someone’s life often comes down to one simple thing: our attitude.

Even when life isn’t going the way we want, we can still choose to show kindness. And sometimes, that kindness can literally be the difference between life and death. There are people carrying heavy emotional pain, people who are not strong enough to handle constant disrespect, bickering, and being put down.

That’s why we must be intentional in our words and actions. We never know how deeply someone might need the kindness we show.

Today, I want to encourage all of us (myself included) to remember this truth:

We will not be here on this earth forever. Our time in this physical body is limited. So while we are here, let’s use our lives wisely—by being kind, loving, and life-giving toward others. Let our presence be healing for those around us. Let us allow God to use our energy, our words, and our actions to be the light and the healing someone has been praying for.

✨ Today, let’s go out there and be the healing that changes everything for somebody. ✨

Thank you for reading today—and remember, don’t let anybody steal your joy. 💛

Keep Your Face Forward—God Has Greater for You

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people! 🌸

Today I want to encourage you with something that’s been on my heart: Stop worrying about what you lost. That includes people who left, things that slipped away, and even the mistakes you’ve made in the past. None of those losses define you. None of them cancel God’s plan for your life.

Instead, lift your eyes and keep your face forward. Begin thanking God for the greater things He has prepared for you—things far greater than what you lost. Because here’s the truth: God always has greater for us.

A Lesson from Hebrews 11

In Hebrews 11:15–16, we read about our predecessors of faith—people like Abraham. God called them out of their comfort zone into places they had never been. He didn’t hand them a detailed strategic plan. He didn’t map out every single step. He simply said, “Go.”

And they went.

They had faith and kept moving forward. The Bible tells us that if they had focused on where they were—on the familiar, the losses, the things they left behind—God would have let them return. But because they chose to keep their faces forward, listening to God’s voice and walking toward His promise, He led them into something greater than they could have imagined.

God blessed them, guided them, and showed them that His plan was far better than what they left behind.

What Are You Worried About Today?

Is it the past?

Is it the things you’ve lost?

Or maybe it’s something happening right now that you don’t have answers for?

Whatever it is, I want to remind you today: Look forward.

God has something greater. Trust Him. Call on your Heavenly Father. Ask Him for help. Ask Him for peace. Ask Him for guidance. And then watch how miracles begin to take place in your life.

Stay in Your Lane: What God Has for You Is Meant for You

Hello my wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people—welcome back to Maryam’s Joyful Life.

I want to share a thought with you today: Could it be that the reason things are not working out for you is because you are in someone else’s lane?

So often, we look at the way other people are doing things—their careers, businesses, relationships, even their spiritual journeys—and we think, if it worked for them, then it must work for me too. But here’s the truth: what God has prepared for you has absolutely nothing to do with another person’s path.

A Biblical Reminder

Hebrews 11:29 gives us a powerful picture of this. After Pharaoh released the Israelites from 400 years of slavery, he changed his mind and sent his army after them. God, through Moses, had instructed His people to head toward the Red Sea. When they reached the water, Moses stretched out his hand, and by God’s command, the sea split in two. A dry path appeared, and the Israelites crossed safely through the middle of the sea.

That dry ground was God’s miracle for His children.

But when Pharaoh’s army tried to follow behind, they assumed they could walk the same path. Yet Scripture says something so profound: they were drowned. The Bible doesn’t say they drowned, it says they were drowned. That dry ground was never intended for them—it was created for the Israelites, and God’s angels closed the waters to protect His chosen people.

What Does That Mean for You?

This story is a powerful reminder that not every path is yours to walk. What looks like success for someone else might not be the direction God has designed for you. Their “dry ground” could become your trap if you try to imitate it outside of God’s will.

The path God has for you is unique, customized, and already prepared. It’s a plan of protection, provision, and destiny. If you step into someone else’s lane, you might find yourself frustrated, overwhelmed, or even blocked—not because you aren’t capable, but because that was never your lane to begin with.

Encouragement for You Today

You are God’s child, and He takes your journey personally. He doesn’t play when it comes to protecting you and guiding you. Instead of comparing your story to others, ask God to reveal your lane and give you the courage to stay in it.

The miracle you’ve been waiting for will show up when you’re obedient to the path that’s meant for you—not when you’re chasing after someone else’s miracle.

So today I encourage you: stay focused, stay prayerful, and stay in your lane. Trust God’s plan. What He has for you is already yours, and no one else can walk through it but you.

🌸 Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for creating a unique path for my life. Help me to stop comparing myself to others and trying to walk in their shoes. Open my eyes to see the direction You want me to go and give me the strength to stay in my lane with confidence and faith. Protect me from distractions and guide me toward the miracles You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌸 Affirmation

“I am walking in my God-given lane. What is meant for me will not pass me by. I trust God’s timing, His direction, and His perfect plan for my life.”

Baby Laila’s First Earrings ✨💖

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet, and lovely people! Thank you so much for stopping by Maryam’s Joyful Life today. I’m so excited to share a sweet milestone in baby Laila’s life with you all—her very first earrings! 💕

My sweet baby is now 6 months old, and I knew it was the perfect time to get her ears pierced. I called up Toni, the owner of The Piercing Spot located at 823 Hwy 138 SW, Riverdale, GA. Toni is a true professional, and I’ve trusted her before—she pierced my nose two years ago and did an amazing job. With her A-rating and reputation as a top piercer, I knew my little one would be in the best hands.

When we arrived, Toni made sure everything was handled professionally and safely. Before the service even began, she had waivers for us to sign—showing her care and thoroughness. My Sweetman was a little concerned about how baby girl was going to feel. He worried that she might suffer a bit, but I assured him she would be okay. And sure enough, Toni’s gentle approach and steady hand made the whole process smooth and quick.

Baby Laila did let out a little scream (what baby wouldn’t?)—but only for a few moments before she calmed right back down. And just like that, my sweet baby girl now has her very first earrings! She looks even more beautiful, and this little milestone makes my heart so full. 🥰

If you’re thinking about getting a piercing for yourself or your little one, I can’t recommend Toni at The Piercing Spot enough. She is top notch—professional, caring, and excellent at what she does.

Now every time I look at my baby’s tiny earrings, I’m reminded of this beautiful moment. 💕

I hope you all have an amazing week starting today! Remember—don’t let anyone steal your joy. 🌸

With love,

Maryam 🌷
